You know, we say it often here at Roanoke Moose Lodge 284… this is a happening place on top of the hill. Just how much stuff happens here is sometimes tough to fathom until you see it all presented in a nice package with a pretty little bow on top. That’s what we have here… a 9 minute package full of events for the year. And that’s not all of them. We encourage you to watch it – it’s just a small glimpse, but it tells a great story of 284 in 2017.
With more than 20 benefit banquets, fundraiser events, and memorials; 5 weddings and quinceaneras; 18 dance events; some big events in the latter part of the year with 3 Dog Celebration and Elite Warrior Challenge; and not to forget our epic kids events for Easter, Halloween and Christmas, we had the joint jumping almost every weekend. And that’s just the big hall. Add the Jack Bess Room with more than 30 events and the many parties at the pool and Pavilion to the mix, we were often hosting more than 2-3 events at the same time.
And let’s also take a moment to remember our huge efforts for Hurricane Harvey Relief where we all pulled together for a solid week for the people in Houston, TX who received more than 55,500 lbs of supplies when they were in dire need. It’s truly a blessing to be a member of Roanoke Moose Lodge 284, and we hope that you will take the time and watch the video to remind yourself of all our accomplishments as a strong Moose family.
