Social Media Policy

With the increased popularity in Social media it is time for our lodge to set forth expectations of our members and ourselves concerning the various social media outlets available; i.e. Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.

Our goal is to use various social media to increase awareness and promote the positive things occurring at Roanoke Moose Family Center 284. We will be using event photographs to promote our functions and advertise for the lodge in a positive fashion. All photos used will be in good taste and positively promote our organization.

Roanoke Moose Family Center #284 will in no way tolerate the misuse of social media by any of its officers, administration, employees or members. Any member using social media to negatively depict the lodge will be subject to disciplinary action as determined by the elected board of directors. Misuse can be described as any post containing derogatory comment concerning the lodge. Also, the posting of inappropriate photos will not be tolerated.

Any negative postings brought to board attention will be reviewed and appropriate action taken. These actions can include written counseling, suspension from lodge activities, suspension from social quarters, and revocation of membership depending on severity. All determinations will be handled by the House Committee and be considered final.

We invite everyone to use social media to positively share the great things going on here at Roanoke Moose Family Center 284. We believe it’s an excellent way to promote the lodge to the community.
